Lake Chelan was so beautiful the day of their wedding, and it was very warm! A lovely day for an Italy inspired wedding. This wedding really brings Lake Como to mind, the iconic wedding location for so many!
Ally and Donnovan had planned an Italy wedding originally and throughout some hard circumstances they decided to look here in the PNW to get the wedding of their dreams! Fine Art Weddings are some of my favorites. The venue is a big part in creating those timeless images.
Lake Chelan’s Siren Songs Winery was the perfect fit.
The architecture, the stonework and of course, the beautiful lake.
Wedding day details are some of my favorite photos in a gallery. They show off your special wedding day items in a beautiful way and help tell the story of your wedding.
Ally and Donnovan had a beautiful AirBnb right on the lake to get ready at. The afternoon light coming through the windows was perfection. Portland rural area getting ready spaces usually have greenery outside that bounces green tints into the room, so this light was amazing. Lake Chelan in that area felt more desert-ish without lots of trees! More the merrier for indoor photo light.
Getting ready with her best friend & sisters sharing so many beautiful moments.
His & Her’s getting ready portraits.
First look with her girl gang? Umm yes.
They all stepped out onto the deck and waited for the big reveal.
Ally got into her iconic dress and veil and did those final wedding day details.
There were tears and cheers and all the happy things! They were all so excited to see beautiful Ally in her wedding gown.
Capturing moments of the in-between are so special. While they aren’t the “money-shots” they ARE the story. Fine art weddings especially you want to see the story telling in the photos. You can feel their hugs and love for their friend.
Everyone loves a mom-and-daughter wedding moment. And I am no exception! Look how she stares at mommas dress, and helps her down the pathway.
Donnovan getting emotional thinking about his bride coming around the corner from behind him.
First looks are definitely not required but wow they are special. Never leaving a dry eye “in the room”.
This duo, wow what an inspiration! They have beautiful style, both the bride and the groom. Before the wedding we did a few photoshoots and every time they killed it with the looks.
I’ll be updating the blog very soon to include some of my favorite shoots with Ally and Donnovan!
Ally and her girlfriends in the entrance to Siren Songs Winery.
The arched walkway leading up to the doors has a beautiful effect and really accents her elegant dress and veil!
Ally’s late momma’s best friend was so sweet. Always supporting Ally!
Family photos on the wedding day at the winery fountain.
Getting cheered on by your huge group of friends… does it get any better? They all had amazing energy and really showed up for Ally and Donnovan.
The vines from the hillside gives the photos a California feel and really elevates these photos!
Groomsmen throwing the groom. Heck yes.
Always hilarious and always terrifies me! And of course these candid shots always turn out great!!
Look at their mischievous grins!
The ringbearers are looking sharp as the groomsmen! The classic black wedding suit always looks amazing in photos. Stonework behind them makes them look that much better.
The groom with his people, just before the big ceremony on Lake Chelan!
Donnovan walking his momma down the aisle, to the amazing view.
After the bridesmaids and groomsmen make it down the aisle here comes the little cuties.
Ring-bearer and flower girls always have my heart! The sweetest nerves as they walk down.
The big cousins helping them out and guiding them along.. So dang cuuute!
And of course the gorgeous Ally with her sister, officiant, bridesmaid, and stand-in for mom & dad walking her down the aisle. You can imagine the emotions.
Donnovan sure did! Such a sweet moment nearing the alter.
WOW. I think they are what they call the “money shots”. Check out the wedding day Lake Chelan views! And you didn’t think the lake could get prettier.
The white classic florals with the elegant gown and the timeless venue?? Amazing.
Peeking at mom & dad as they read their vows.
Ally & Donnovan’s first kiss as a married couple!
The happiest of smiles, walking down the aisle as husband & wife.
Celebrating their way through their guests, and the excitement shows!
Getting ready to really make it official!
Sealed with a kiss!
Family portraits with Lake Chelan in the background, does it get any better?
We were taking a few more portraits with the groom and here she comes with her mom’s wedding veil.
Such a sweet moment, she felt so important!
The couple sharing a kiss with the guests in the background is one of my favorite reception shots!
Their closest friends and family cheering them on at their reception!
A champagne tower compliments Siren Song’s stunning courtyard, somehow making it even more pretty.
These toasts were so special!
This sweet moment, emotions hitting one of the groomsmen.
Spending time away with just the two of them.
And of course, the photographers, the lake and the views. 🙂
Ally & Donnovan’s first dance was amazing.
Reception portraits with the glow of Siren Song’s warm lights.
The best crew to be surrounded with on their wedding. Always bringing the laughs and fun!
Ally gets her moment looking fab at the reception! And of course a dear friend touching up her makeup for the big send off.
YAY! Getting sent off after the wedding with their closest friends and families.
These light wands are a great alternative to sparklers! Safe for the venue and the guests and still looking good for the send off.
After the send off, the couple decided to jump in the pool in their wedding attire!
After an amazing wedding day, that is a wrap!
Thanks for scrolling all the way to the end.
