An lovely engagement session at Discovery Park in Seattle, Washington. We were close to the lighthouse with beautiful sunshine in January! The sailboats sailing across the water was lovely and the perfect touch for these two. Cute, classy and casual. The photos really show off their love.

Discovery Park was a beautiful backdrop for this engagement session! I still can’t believe we lucked out and got sunshine IN Seattle, IN January. Wow!

The lighthouse provided some great shade, and we were able to walk right up to the building.

There were stunning mountain views beyond the water, lots of people with their cute puppies, and the sailboats cruising along.

When we arrived, it was a very busy morning at the park. We found parking in the main lot.

Aimee and Kevin both love hiking and it was a good walk to warm up to taking photos. Encouraging them to chat and getting to know them even more before starting to photograph them, that was extra nice.

As we got closer to the waterfront area there was a lot less people, something that makes me, the photographer, breathe a sigh of relief. Yay for not spending time photoshopping out other people or worrying about being in front of large groups! Excited “Congratulations!” from the passersby is the fun part of being photographed in public though. haha

In my opinion of course.

Every engagement session is so much fun. Getting to know each couple and learning more about their story is truly the best part of my job. And of course as a really great side-benefit, amazing photos to capture their engaged love.

Picking up Trader Joe’s flowers & champagne were the perfect addition to their sweet session.

After driving up to Seattle for this late morning engagement sesh, my friend and I made a little trip out of the day. Overall one of the best days this past winter!

I have been having a hard time getting blogs posted lately, so I am trying to keep each blog post short and sweet. Getting it out there imperfect is better than not at all, right?

So enjoy this engagement session on the water in Seattle. The lighthouse and sailboats were the icing on the engagement sesh “cake”.
